Did You Ask These Three Questions During Your Strategic Planning Session?

As you settle into a new year, hopefully rested and recharged from the holidays, you—like the majority of entrepreneurial leaders—begin again with the enthusiasm and belief that this will be your best year ever.

I would assume each you at some point over the last several weeks or months sat down with your colleagues, worked through your strategic planning process, and now have a winning game plan in place for 2018 and beyond.

But before the excitement of a new year fades and the hard work of executing toward your lofty goals begins, I will ask you to consider three questions.

Question #1: What is going to stay exactly the same over the next 3, 5, or 10 years in your industry, and how are you positioned to dominate the market with your products, services and solutions?

Question #2: What is going to change in your industry over the next 3, 5, or 10 years that will force you to innovate to stay ahead of your competition?

Question #3: What are the top three strategic moves a well-funded competitor will make with the sole-purpose of trying to put you out of business?

Whether you operate a large or small company, getting into business today is easier than ever, but staying in business is now harder than ever. Even the fastest growing companies are not immune from future failure.

Introduce focus on your clients short and long range needs, competitive advantage and innovation in your next planning session and action plan to help your business THRIVE.
